Default SUZUKI CARB!!

hey all i got a question for all of you, i need to figure this out by tomorrow.. my lt 160 carb is acting up when the choke is off, and i open the throttle more than half way.. i never learned about small engines, and these touchy carburators... maybe i can rebuild it, but i dont know which parts to replace since there is no rebuild kit for them... the majopr question for anyone who can help me is this: can i put a carb from a running lt 250 or a 160 of a newer year on my machine, and will it work? for some reason, when i turn the choke on when riding, it does not do it.... the air intake assembly has just been completely redone, so my guess is it must be a bad jet or something... please respond.. many thanks!

I would get a can of Carb Cleaner, disassemble the carb and get it clean inside and out. Look also at your needle valve to make sure it has no flat or worn spots on it.

hey its me again... i figured out why the lt 160 was dying when choke was off and more than half throttle was applied..
ithe factory main jet was a 85. i upped it 2 sizes to a 92.5 i believe, and the problem is gone, and a LOT of power boost. put a new air filter, and hollowed the exaust and pulled the 2 bottom plugs, and it now is faster than a 250!!
