Hi guys newbie here with a question. Looking at buying this bike for $1600. The bike is in great condition but i am worried about the reverse issue i have been reading about. Does it pertain to this year bike also? Any comments good or bad about this bike? I would really like to buy this bike but would like a little more info about its dependability. Thanks for any help you can offer.

 

The '97 KQ is rock solid - or as rock solid as they made them back then.

The KQ 700 reverse thing has nothing to do with the older 300 KQ. The KQ300 doesn't have the greatest brakes (drum brakes that wear quickly) but it is a solid, go anywhere utility ATV. $1,600 sounds like a good price. I sold my '94 model three years ago for 2K.
