Default Don't stand your Z400 up on the grab bar???

A buddy just got two new Z400's. He said that the dealer was emphatic that the bike never be stood up on the grab bar. He isn't quite sure what they said the problem is, but it has something to do with the coolant system. Anyone know anything???

Possibly the overflow line in the coolant system will be below the fluid level and you will loose coolant?? No real idea to be honest. Air cooled does have it's advantages

I have a 04 z400 and in the owners manuel it shows that you can stand them on the grab bar. If the manuel shows it then it must not be a problem-again a dealer not knowing what he is talking about.

Mine gets stood up at every oil change & washing. Only had a little gas spill out one time. It came out of the tank vent. Filled it first, operator error there I believe.

Its the aluminum grab bar. If you stand it up it bends causing the quad to fall over and crack the frame. Suzuki won't cover it either.................

I have the 05 and my manual also says to "stand it up." Don't know what your dealer was talking about. My Z never leaked a drop, nor does by grab bar show damage.
