Default Question on stamp on side of motor

They question is on a LT230 Quadsport....

I see a stamp that says 246 cm3 on the side of the motor...what does that number reflect?
Is it the engine bore? and if so...why is that closer to 250 then 230?

Pic of engine

246cm3 means 246 cubic centimeters, or cc's. I no longer own a 230 qs, so I cant compare. There used to be an LT250E Quadsport 4stroke. perhaps you have a different bike that you thought, or someone swapped out that engine/head for the other.

Someone is feeding you a line of bull then.

246 Cubic centimeters equals 0.259945 Quarts, somehow I think the quad holds more than a quarter quart of oil.

i dont know, my dirtbike is 124cc and its stamp says 1000cm3 and my cat ( 246cc) says 3500cm3. He might be talking about something different.
