Default Suzuki LT230 (F) ?

Hi. I’m having opportunity to buy a quad Suzuki LT230. I haven’t seen the machine yet, it will be imported soon. I have some question about. I can’t find any tech.spec. for this model. Importer is not sure about letter after model name. Probably F (LT230F)
Surfing the net I found out that model LT230 was produced until 93. Owner is claiming that this Quad is from 99. Is it possible?
Anybody have this machine? Only what I know that quad is driven by shaft so is not the same as LT 250 that has integrated drive.

If it's an F model then it should be a 250cc w/4wd I believe

If it's a 230 then they did not make them in 1999..but it could be an older E model which is an electric start model

Try BikeBandit.com for more info on the models

Thank you Atomic. This quad is 2x4 electric and hand started, have shaft, motor is 4 strokes, 5-speed with reverse and Importer said that I could have other same looking model with 2-speed subtransmission. So, is it LT 230E model? If yes, then have to be much older then 99 ;-(

Mine is off a LT250R as I could never find one for the Sport. You will have to fabricate your own mounting brackets in order to make it work. I think I paid around $50 for it on eBay.

You don't have a 230E. They are chain driven. There are four 230's that Suzuki made that I know of. None were ever 4x4. They are:

LT230S - Made from 85-88. This is a quadsport with manual clutch, chain drive, kickstart. This is the most famous 230.
LT230E - Made from 87-93. This is a quadrunner with auto clutch, chain drive, and electric start. It looks very similar to the quadsport.
LT230GE - Made from 85-86. This is a quadrunner with auto clutch, shaft drive, electric start.
LTF230 - Made from 86-87. Also a quadrunner with auto clutch, shaft drive and electric start. I'm pretty sure this is the one with a dual range subtransmission.

You have either a LT230GE, or an LTF230 (commonly referred to as an LT230F) if you have a shaft drive.
