Default ltz250 differential leak

I'm leaking diff. lube from the seals in my differential where the axle comes out. I guess I'll run it up to the dealer and get an estimate on how much it will be to fix or what the heck is wrong with it, anyone noticed oil leaking around that seal? it drips every once and a while and pools in my skid plate.

Did you ever check to see if it was just muddy water? I thought mine was leaking too, but then after I stuck my finger in what was sitting in my skidplate, it turned out just to be mud.

It very well could be leaking lube, but you might want to just check that before you go running it to your dealer.

Nope it's gear lube, I can tell by the smell.

I'm going to see if I can order the seal and fix it myself, dealer charges way to much labor.

Dude maybe you should check that little rubber accordian thing to make sure it isnt clogged with sumthing cause otherwise I dont see how u could have blown that seal. that is just wierd.

The same thing happens with me.I went to the dealer to get a tune up and oil change and i asked them about it and they asked me if i was doing wheelies or had the bike standing up because they said its just some type of safety thing so the oil doesnt get clogged up somewhere so it leaks out a little.

I've been doing wheelies with it quite often actually, I'll see if it stops leaking.
