By looking at all the numbers and reading the WHOLE article, it seems to me that performance wise the CT pipe walks all over the HMF.

Now by no means am I talking down about the HMF.

But with the way laws are getting now, both sound and spark, I would like to have the piece of mind that I'm not going to be hassled by the rangers for either of these problems.

I do love the sound of the HMF but IMO I enjoy looking forward over the handlebars instead of over my shoulder looking for the sneaky rangers.

Pretty much there were only 2 problems with HMF that didn't sit well with me and that's the sound issue and that if you want a spark arrestor you have to pay extra. Other than that they are awesome pipes.

Looks like I'm going to go with the CT pipe.

Now I just hope that it will work well with the new Z-450 when it finally shows up in the dealers.

So would i be wasting my money to simply buy a slip-on exhaust? should i save the extra $ and purchase a full system? I was deciding between a HMF or Dr. D slip-on? any suggestions?

I've got the full ALBA system with the wisper tip. Tested at the dunes and it only hits 93db. We pulled the tip off and re tested and it hits 113Db. You lose a little down low with the tip, But you gain .6 in mid and top end. Along with the pipe I have rejetted, CDI box, And filter.
