Unfortunately you are stuck with having one from an 87 ONLY. They are the first and bastard year of the LT's and are made different than the rest. The good point is that they flow better than the later years.

 

actually i have heard the 87's actually have too big of a reed cage...it is even sometimes too big for the Zilla.

The '87 is capable of making more HP than other years for this reason only!

 

I got my cylinder back today and they have fairly big intakes alright. Later I was thinking of getting a v-force reed cage, Whats you'r opinons on them?

 

I would highly suggest the stock cage setup with Boyseen reeds. Dont get sucked in to all the "Pyramid, Carbon fiber, V-Force" BS, they may work on other quads, but the best setup for a ZIlla is the stock one with a quality set of $20 reeds.
