Am I the only one that really really likes the new King Quad?

I read all the negative reports about the new King Quad, but it doesn't change my mind about how great it is. I just got back from riding with several people for 2 days in the mountains of Utah. Everyone wants their chance to ride the King and doesn't want to give it up. I think it is the most fun Utility quad made. Am I the only one that thinks it is the greatest?

I don't know about negitive press the KQ gets nearly all the awards everywhere!
It is the most balanced, best handleing ute I've been on. I did test drive a rincon though and remember it having the same feel, just not the power of the KQ.
Mine jumps like a champ and lands so light. It steers good at all speeds, it has really hard pulling power in the midrange. EFI so far works great.
Best quad I've had.
The only negitive is the reverse issue, which is fixed on the newer quads. The new ecm, is strange too, it seems a bit finiky to deal with. the "time outs" and such in reverse.
Other then that one issue it really fills a nitch in the market no one else can claim..it does real well in everything, maybe not the best in every catagory, but 2nd or 3rd in every catagory across the board that it's not best in! But number 1 for all around ability!

I have been upset over the reverse issue but never with anything else concerning the king. It is the most fun I have ever had on wheels. Where did you go riding in Utah? I live in Pleasant Grove, UT and did some riding in the mountains last weekend. I dominated my buddy and his polaris 600 in the snow. Could have been the fact he is still running stocker tires but Ill keep that on the down low. lol He was a little upset. I was really pleased with how the king performed though.

love my kq! last quad was a 00 quadmaster 500 with a lift kit and blackwater xt tires. great quad that always got me back to the truck, but it would really wear my butt out. with the kq it was like getting out of a dump truck into a corvette. we go down to southeastern kentucky and tennessee to ride and those mtns really have it all. mud, rocks, sand, nice trails to some really wicked climbs. found the kq just a real joy to ride all day long. didnt care much for the tires though.for general trail riding they did fine but in some of the worse places they came up a little short in my opinion. just put on a set of 27 mudlites that look way cool but havent had a chance to really check them out. running around the cornfields and woods here in central indiana isnt much of a test but it does ride and stear a little different but i expected it to feel wierd for a while. leaving for hatfield mccoy as soon as my sons get here for 4 days of riding in what looks to be rain so i guess im gonna find out real soon what a difference they make. on a diff subject. we went out to richfield utah last july to ride the pauitte trail system. BEAUTIFUL country, nice people, terrible food(these folks need a taste of good ole indiana black angus)but all in all a wonderful week. first time there and we just had a store bought map to go by but it seemed like most of the trails were green or blue which was basically paved and gravel roads with a few black trails (excellent) that would take off then come back to the road. after a couple days this got a little boring and was real hard on our tires. any info i could get on this would be appreciated. i would like to bring my boys out but would need smething with more of a challenge.

Kingme,
This past weekend I rode in the mountains around Minersville Utah. I like to ride mostly in and around Beaver Utah. It is a place I can usually ride in the winter because it doesn't get much snow, but right now there is still a lot of snow. The King does pretty well in the snow. I wonder if the stock tires are really any good or not? Where do you ride?

prj575, I have heard that exact thing about the atv jamboree in Richfield. Ive been told that if you have a schedule of all the rides you can get on some good trails (challenging) but for the most part it is set up for alot of easy riding. I know some very difficult trails and some that are just plain crazy by where I live. I live, (if you look on a map) about at the mouth of American fork canyon just west of Mnt. Timpanogos. It is a 15 min. drive up A.F. canyon and you are in mountain trail riding heaven. Alot of the trails up there climb up the back side of the famous ski resorts out here. Snowbird, Alta, and Brighton to name a few. There is plenty of steep, technical trails up there.
Another great place to ride is south west of Utah lake in the Tintic mountains. If your sons like the sand, the Tintic's would be ideal that range is just a short ride away from Little Sahara, a favorite place among the dune riding crowd. If you come out drop me a pm and I could point you in the direction of some great rides and I'd love to join ya!
Actrite, Ive never ridden in that area, but would love to sometime. As for where I ride, mainly A.F. canyon, five mile pass out west of Lehi and the Scoffield area.
I really think the stock tires on the king are worthless. I went riding with them in about 1 foot of fresh snow on top of a deeper base and got stuck a few times but did ok. Last weekend we rode in the same place abut the same conditions only a little more fresh snow. What a difference , nothing could stop me. LOL Honestly though I was flying through stuff that really gave me trouble with the stock tires. Oh by the way I have the 26" mudlites. I hear there even better if you reverse the tread.
