Default HELP! I can't get my Zilla to start.

After doing a top-end rebuild and restoring my zilla I can't get it to start. I had spark trouble but got it sorted. Now I have a spark and it is gettin petrol. Could it be a carb prob? I've tried kickin and pullin it but no go. Its turnin over fine but just won't start!

make sure the kill switch wires are in good shape and connected . same with the key switch .

next choke on , switch off . kick it three times . then turn switch on no throttle get it to top of stroke then kick . if after a few times if i doesnt start turn off choke and drain fuel from carb ( take off bowl bolt on bottom of carb ). if after a few seconds gas is still pouring out , i would say float is stuck . might need to clean carb .

Thanks donzilla. I didn't get time to open the bowl yet, but I will. When you think about it it must be carb probs as there is a spark, air comein to the carb so the last prob is fuel/intake.

Default HELP! I can't get my Zilla to start.

Sorry I haven't been online lately. But here is the situation at the moment, I opened up the carb and the float is not stuck, I blew out the carb with air but still no luck then I got a new plug and still nothing. The one thing I made sure of putting back the reeds is that they lie flat and the plug is wet coming out. I've tried putting some petrol down the plug hole. Next thing I might try is heating the plug. Any more ideas with what could be wrong. Also while pulling the quad there is a mist of petrol from the exhaust. Also there is good compresion. This thing is gettin on my nerves at the moment.

You didn't respond to 86LT250RFatty's question. Are you positive that the flywheel and stator are installed correctly?

Did you thought about the gas... is it old ?
Did you perform a leak test ?
