Brand new Vinson Camo PEELING !?!?!?!?!?

OMFG, you talk about one hot pissed off ready to blow some $#@!@# holes in something or someone! Washing Abby yesterday getting ready for the ride this weekend. Mind you as it sits my bike's been out three times and has a total of 38 original miles on it. As I was cleaning out the fuse/wiring cavity (cause the weep hole and brush protection completely sucks here, ride before last all my fuses were teabagging in water when I got home) I noticed that on the left and right side of the seat cavity, where the latch holds the seat down, the camo finish is peeling off revealing a plain white backing. Oh, isn't this lovely, flashback to all the statements made from the sales and service people.....it's almost indestructible, you have to cut it off, it's almost scratch proof. Ok.........time to mellow, light up a smoke and call a local dealer (mind you I couldn't buy the bike there due to my financing). He says, it ought to be warranty, but we won't look at it, you have to take it back to your the dealer you bought it from. Great! I call my dealer (who's an hour 1 way) and he says, load it up, we'll have to look at it and get our rep down. WOOHOO! I can only see this taking 3 months to get taken care of. I get home tonight, still chain smoking, trying to tell that bottle of Jack tonight's not the night, I made a decision to not take the bike back. The spots are virtually unnoticeable with the seat on, and as long as it doesn't "spread" I'll be alright. Just curious, any of you other camo owners, regardless of make, have this happen? Was it covered by warranty as defective?

OK, it's you, me, smokes, and jack- on both ends. Did you use a pressure washer? That stuff is ONE BIG STICKER. Good news is: IF some does peel back washing, push it down, let it dry, and it'll stick back on. If it got blown off, we're talking a whole nuther ballgame. Why did you get camo anyway?

Yeah I used a pressure washer, but I didn't use it where it's peeling from. I did notice that behind the white backing it's black. So if it gets any worse I'll give it hell w/ a sanding block. I really wanted a black one anyway, but if I want an auto I'll go buy a damn Chevette.
I'll be there, just as soon as I get a legal trailer . It take me a week of working the trails to get down there, but it could be done.....God I love this state!

I love your state too. I had a f--ing blast over there. We're thoroughly looking forward to kickin' w/ your people this year. If you need an itin, PM me your addy and I'll forward you one. What do you haul your "baby" in if you don't have a trailer? I'm assuming you have a truck. Don't tell me you're on of those Dirt Wheels guys that loads your quad onto a Chevy Citation......:0

Oh, and F the sanding. A hair dryer will warm it up-from the place where it's peeling- and it should come right off. Sticker Off helps too. But, F that, you payed for the Camo, push the warranty work. Or, tell 'em you want new plastic in its place.

Well I won't give up w/o a fight. But we'll see how it goes and hopefully it just won't spread.
As far as hauling the bike, we use the trailer, just real locally. And I drive a Prizm and not a citation, and the damn wheel hangs in my field of view when it's up there so shush! Most of the time it's pull the bike out and hit the road, just hope you don't see any cops. We're one of the few counties that doesn't allow atv's on public roads, but we're only on the road for a little bit before we're in the trails and we try to head out real early and come back late.
