just wondering if anyone has some helpfull info, I just rebuilt the entire engine and trans i put alll new bearings, shift drum, 1 shift fork that had wear, all the little springs and pawls. now it is back together and runs great, but it will jump in and out of 4th, every other gear works perfect, it is also hard to get into netural now, it never did this befor any ideas?

 

Did you replace the gearshift return spring? I had the same things going on and replaced mine on the advice recieved on this forum and it fixed it. The nice thing is you don't have to split the case to get at it and the spring is only about $8.00

 

i wil give that a try and see what happens i hope it is that simple.
