Anyone know where I can find info on 88' LT250?

I am having all kinds of trouble with my carb. I just bought this thing last winter. I keep hearing that the jetting is incorrect. Let me give a little info on my trouble. It is dead on it's face in 1st gear. Bogs out. Once you're moving it's great. I already changed the reeds (no help). And of course I went riding over the weekend and it quit 30 minutes into the trail (plug was fouled out). So a fellow rider said "Let me look at it" hmmm, big mistake. He tried adjusting the floats, made it worse. I also found the adjustment on the slide for the carb was loose and all the way down. So now it will start and sound pretty good at an idle, but as soon as you accelerate it is bogging out and coughing through the exaust. Fun stuff. If anyone has an ideas it would be appreciated greatly. Other wise it is off to the local repair shop, $$$$.
It is a 1988 LT250 has a FMF Fatty pipe.
Any idea where I can find original specs and possibly a chart for the correct jetting ?
Thanks for any help,
Scott

Clymer manual.
I know people hate spending money on these for a simple question. But I think this should be the second thing you buy for your bike (right after the helmets). I have no xp w/ clymer but they're supposed to bet better than suzuki manuals.

If you search, you will find hundreds of "what should my jetting be?" threads. On a 2 stroke, it's almost impossible for someone to tell you what jets will make your bike run perfect because temp, humidity, altitude, oil ratio and fuel all play a role. Stock sizes are 30 pilot and 240 main, after that it's anybody's guess. I've gotten jetting specs on here from other people with the same bike and similar mods and we were several sizes off. You're best bet will be to have a shop get it close and then you can fine tune from there.
