The shifter is loose on my quadzilla....

The shifter seal was leaking so I changed it...
Now, it still leaks... I saw that the shifter shaft was pretty loose and the seal wasnt able to fill the slack so it leaks.
I checked on diagrams and there is no bearing or bushing or anything that could be worn, except THE CASE
what should I do ?
I don't know how much oil it lost... that is a concern... Is there a way to check the oil level on the zilla? (and how much oil is it supposed to have ?)
I know I know, the manual. Its on the way.

Well, when I don't touch the lever it doesn't leak but when I move the shaft, I can see a gap between the shaft and the seal... and that shaft is kind of loose.
Anyone has an Idea to stop that leak ?? (even if its a temporary solution)
I thought about a kind of washer style copper bushing that I would go between the seal and the case, but there is no empty space for it between the two, the seal would come out.
