If its geared much lower than my arctic cats lowest gear than Id be surprized. In super low I can get up to about 10 mph pinned. Dont forget the new king has a low also. Might not be as low but its still low.

You missunderstood me, I know the old king is much lower than the new. I meant my arctic cat will do 10 mph in 5th gear when it is pinned. If the old king will only do 7 and they are both 300's I would say the old king is indeed geared lower than my cat.
Im sure its a pulling machine, it would be an interesting test for sure.

I think you both are talking about apples...and apples...
AC never made their own engines and trannys...they bought them from Suzuki...they are the same combo that you are talking about in both old 300's.
You are only partially right on gearing...you most also include the weight and speed into your equation. hook that winch up to a 15 pound log and turn it on buddy...I'll drag it all over the state....4000 lbs of pulling power or not...
The lowest gears don't also translate into the best pulling power in a drag off...if a guy can get some speed and weight moving in a direction it changes the outcome. depending upon the traction offered buy the soil...the old king might just find itself in a skid...weight and speed pulling it around. That's not to say that it failed...it just might not be able to bully the heavier quad around that hit its sweet spot first.... In the end it would come down to the driver, the one who put the least amount of strain and most amount of power down the fastest would start a drag or slide the other might not be able to overcome...
But since no one is really trying it...I guess we won't know?

first of all they weight the exact same dry! second the higher geared kingqaudefi would bog if you pin it!
there would be no contest it would be about even until the new kings belt dies!

Tie your 300 behind and lets go, you tell me when to stop, while you are thinking you could be going 10 mph at the most in low gear , I will be pulling you at 30mph, and that will be the fastest you atv has probebly gone in reverse or foward.
