Im thinking about selling the Zilla.

I love it to death, and I put a ton of work in it, but with my work schedule, all it ever does is sit, and I hate for such a nice machine to get no use. Anyone wanna make a bid? Most of you know the bike and how long I took restoring it from the ground up. Since the complete rebuild It has less than 10hrs on the entire machine. EVERY bearing and seal was replaced, this alone cost over $1000, brand new tires, douglas .190s, LRD pipe, 41.5 Carb, Brand new Maier plastic, new rear grab bar, new chain, new seat cover, new bars, complete new wiring harness, new Ricky Stator alt, Works Steelers on the front, completely rebuilt rear shock. actually, the only original things on this quad are the frame, a-arms, swingarm, axle and hubs. The engine is totally stock, with a brand new 87 cylinder on the original bore, Brand new cases were purchased from Suzuki, these alone are worth $1200. Someone talk me out of this, or at least offer me enough money to allow myself to sleep easy. What do yall guys think, keep it, or let it go. Also, estimate a good jumping off price if I do let it go.

Man, keep that piece of history, dont sell it, right now i have 2 lt250r's and a banshee and my parents said one had to go. Well banshees will be around forever and the lt250rs wont so im getting rid of the banshee. Dont get rid of it, its like a muscle car you wish you would of kept it later on.

I agree with everyone here. Don't sell it. You'll never get anywhere near what you put into it, regardless of what you tell a potential buyer. Plus, you'll begin to regret selling it within the first week. I miss every 500 I have ever let go, even the ratty ones. But if you insist on selling it, there is a really nice 500 on that auction site (item # 4544525418) that has a respectable minimum bid, especially considering the hardware on it.

Sell it! ... Cheap! ... To me!
If you sell it, a long time from now you'll be telling your grandkids that you actually owned the fastest production quad ever built (by far) and you wish you would have held on to her. If you keep it and store it, you can tell your grandkids, "Hey, look what I got under this sheet in the basement". How much cooler would that be.
I'd hang on to that piece of history if it were me. Sell your lawnmower instead.

One thing that scares me about my Zilla, is that I feel like replacement parts are going to be harder, and more expensive to come by. Banshee and 250r parts will be made forever, but I dont feel like it will be so with the Zilla, Id hate to have a real clean 500, 10 years from now, and cant ride it because no one makes something simple that keeps it from running.

Your correct about the parts issue. Some Zilla parts are already being discontinued and the current supply of stock replacement parts will get more expensive as the years go by. That is one reason NOT to sell your Zilla! The price of a stock, or a near stock Zilla will only increase in value. Just think of your Zilla as an investment.
I have a few Zillas of my own just for investment purposes and will be adding more to the stable soon.
