its gotta boot on it .. right,
and you couldnt re pack with greese before cleaning

You've got a few options.
Oh, one thing I didnt think of. If you've got a replacement nut for it. You can either A) Just dremel it off B) Dremel the pin slots off and put something in the hole to hold shaft or (This is the easiest) C) goto your local parts store chunk out 19-20 bux for a nut splitter. It's basically a clamp that cuts the nut in half.
