Lt250R's can range in price dramatically and depends on the area you live, 1000 for an 85-86 in poor condition to 3000 for a 91-92 in excellent condition. A decent 87-90 figure 2000-2500. Things to looks for especially on the older ones are cracks in the frame at the foot pegs and lower A-arm mounts. I would check the air filter on whatever you look at, just to get an idea if the owner maintained it well and to gauge engine condition. Look for busted engine cases that might be patched up. Also look for cracks in the swing arm.

Some people on here will tell you stay away from the 87 because it's engine is hard to find parts for and it has a weak frame. In my opinion the 87 engine is the fastest of all years and is worth the trouble to find the parts. I don't know how the 87's frame is different than the 88-90.

I just bought mine for $600 and it was not running in peices, spent another 600 in parts and a month and half rebuilding it from the frame up.
