Before I get started, I am going to assume that I need a carb. kit, but here goes. I have a '99 Lt80 that seems to run when there is only a small amt. of fuel in the tank. When there is a full tank, the fuel will run out of the front of the carb. As of now, I cannot get it to start. There is fuel and spark, but it will not crank. I haven't tried starting fluid yet. I also have a petcock on the fuel line in addition to the one on the tank. Any suggestions?

 

Sounds like your float either has a hole in it, or is set incorrectly, or that your float needle is worn..not a difficult fix by any stretch.

 

The zuxi has a vaccum actuated fuel delivery to the carb. try running on the prime position and remove the extra petcock.

 

Yeah, I'm not sure mine is working correctly though. That is why I put the stopcock inline so that I could prevent the tank from draining itself.

 

Got everything working well....thanks for the help. There was just some gunk under the float valve. I do have another question though.
The oil injection pump is not working properly, so if I were to mix my oil/fuel what would the ratio need to be? I know that my chainsaw is at 40:1 and my boat is at 100:1, what should I use for this little 80?

 

use a good oil.....please....... 32:1 is what i use on my sons 80, with torco oil, well its yamalube, in a torco bottle...be sure to un hook the injection pump.. you can buy a kit..
