Need tire help for King Quad 700
#1
Ok, i need some fast real advice.
Got a new King quad 700. Want new tires and rims. Probably type 5's. Maybe mud lite 26"??? I keep hearing about loss of power, (oh noooo not good). This true? How bad?
Also going from stock to the above mentioned set, whats the major benefits? Do the tires stick out past the fenders? Rather not eat mud all day.
Need advice and thoughts!!!
Also, I was going to buy them off ebay, anyone ever done that?

Ive got that wheel/tire combo, It has been great this winter. Tons of improvement in the snow and mud, but they are quite a bit rougher ride on hardpack. I plan on getting some bighorns for the summer and trail riding. I hear they are smooth and very durable. I havnt had any punctures with the lites but they have mostly just seen snow and some mud.

I have heard alot of good things about the bighorns, smooth trail tire, bulletproof, does rocks and hill well. Not a good mud or snow tire. This is what I have read. They look sweet too. Go check out jacobsatvadventures.com he has alot of good info on tires, very informative. I am buying my bighorns used with about 80 mi. on them. Check out the GBC dirt tamer. looks just like the bighorn but they are lighter, and less expensive, they are brand new. The bighorn's measure big 25" = 25 3/4" so I am told. The dirt tamer is more true to the advertized size.
The MST's look like a great tire too. I already have some lights or I would have got those for my light mud and snow tire.
As far as rims go I got the type 5's but I like the looks of the black rims. I think I am going to epoxy paint the stock rims black and see how they look with the bighorns.

They should fit fine... I've not heard of anyone not being able to get tires on the quad if your going 9 front 12 rear...in the 26 inch or 25 inch sizes...maybe 27's and up would be a problem?
