QUADRACER HELP!!!
#1
okay guys....i got a nice problem for everyone....my quad was recently victim to a flood and water filled in the head from where the pipe connects to it.....so i tip the quad pull the carb and plug...gave it a few kiks by hand and watched water pour out....i then proceeded to change the gear oil, clean + jet carb (210 main 45 pilot), clean + oiled filter....put it back together and it worked beautifully....so today i wanted to go riding and it was working great....i was in the middle of racing a 400ex and i had my quad just about topped out and then it just bogged and died!!!.....after that is just wudnt start....we jump started the quad a few times but it just wudnt idle....i was so embarrassed becuase i had to get towed home by a honda.....but anyways...i pulled the plug and tested the spark...it was good....the plug was fine too...but no matter wut i do the quad just wont start...once in a while it wud give a little rev then just die again....idk wut the problem is and im stumped....please help

Hey Turq28 you might try getting a new cdi box.. Because i was just out riding with some friends on my YFZ (I had an aftermarket cdi on it) and all of a sudden i was in 4th gear and all of a sudden my quad just starts slowing down then it dies.. and i tryed starting it with the electric start a few times that didn't work so they tied a rope to me and we tryed bump starting it and it still didnt work so my friend had to pull me back home and when i got home my dad told me to put my stock cdi box back on it and try it so i did and it started right up but when i put the other one back on it started and i got it into about 3rd gear and it just died again so my problem was the cdi box and it kinda sounds like the same thing to could be wrong with your Z that was wrong with my YFZ.. So could l hope this helps

isn't a 210 main a little lean? I'm not a 100% sure but I think the stock size was a ?230? or was the just the newer models? If that is the case you might have blew it up or fried the rings. If it had low compression it wouldn't idle well and it wouldn't have much power. You could try doing a compression check on it.

210 main and 45 pilot are whats required by FMF for their pipe....and needle position on 3...and air screw 1.5 turns out....i mean the thing ran great...until it died out of course....is it possile that the carb isnt sending enough gas into the motor????that was my first thought but i dont want to take any guesses....
