Default LT80 carb help

My daughters LT80 needed a new throttle, so I got one, changed it, now it will not start. Did not change anything else. However, the new cable does seem slightly longer, that is the center section sticking out from the cable cover. Even put the onld one back on and still nothing. Wnat gives? HELP!! Thanks!!

Welcome to the forums.
First guess would be that it's flooded. Give it full throttle and turn over till it starts (if you haven't allready).
Make sure it has spark. I know you didn't touch it, but check it anyways.
If it isn't flooded, then try choking the carb with your fingers. This happens at times.
We'll go from there.
Ok, I just read your PM. Lets start with making sure the cable is adjusted properly. If the thumb throttle moves before the cable moves the slide, unscrew the lil brass piece on top the carb to take up the slack. If that doesn't help, start with the above things.

Tried full throttle with and without choke for about 30 seconds each way. Got spark. No luck. What's up with the little gold colored disc under the spring. On top or below the needle or relocate it to the bottom of the toolbox?

The gold thing holds the needle in place.
Now try holding your fingers in front of the carb to hand choke it.

Took of air intake tube on front of carb, put my sandwich clamp over the hole and she came the closest to starting its been since the cable change. Put tube back on, pulled the choke hit the go button and off she went. I must of had it full of gas. Thanks for the help!

This a rare thing but as you can tell, it surely happens. For some reason it won't pull fuel thru till hand choked.
Your cooking on the front burner now!
have fun.

One more thing, on the needle there is a clip. Currently on the center of the five slots. Will this change lean/rich if adjusted up or down? Seems to run rich.
