Default LTZ400 ? Holeshot H-D or Maxxis Razr

Hello
I Just bought a new Z400 two weeks ago. It need's better tire's and wheel's, After reading a thousand mag's I cant tell who make's the better tire. I ride mostly trail's and wood's and like to go fast around corner's. Any help from rider's who use Holeshot H-D or Maxxis Razr
or Razr2 will be a big help. THANK'S

Are you sure you need tires that serious? Check out this page.

I went with holeshot xcr's. I'm getting them mounted next week. I don't think I really need HD's, for as big and heavy they are (I realize they're not that heavy, but still more than standard holeshots).

You hate the Dunlops so much you can't even wear them out?

I dunno, maybe I'm insane but I love these stock tires on my KFX. I've gone through some mud that I thought for sure I was getting stuck.

If anything, when I replace mine I'm going with the same or the IRazrs.

The radial is the future of ATV tires. And that's for a good reason. They are vastly superior in almost every way, and it allows for stronger sidewalls and better lug spacing for cleaning. Pretty soon you are going to see every company offer more and more.

I dont hate the dunlops but when I take corner's hard they feel week like they want to come off the rim.
maby the standered Holeshot will work fine. How much heavyer are the H-D's? Alsow I see alot of people useing Razr's on the rear and Razr2 on the front. Why is that?
Thank's again

the razrs slide a little easyer than razr 2. but the razr 2 slide good also.but the razrs 2 clean up better in the mud than and gets better traction than razrs.the h-d weight i think is about the same as the razr2 .both the h-d or the razrs 2 in my opinion are the best all around trail tires

goouch:

Try upping the PSI in the rear tires. A radial is supposed to act just the opposite in that way. A bias ply tire is more likley to want to try and flex its way off the rim. I put a few more pounds of air in mine and they slide much better.

Perhaps I do not ride agressive enough to see thier short-comings but so far the Dunlops are fine for me. Funny thing is I've always HATED dunlop ATV tires. I always thought they made a great car/truck tire, and even some great MX/SX bike tires, but the ATV tires were always garbage. But the stockers on my KFX have been very good. I doubt it's the pattern of tread, so I attribute it to the radial factor.

Either way the ITPs are good tires.
