EBC's are what everyone's talking about lately, so I'd say "Yeah", rolsmojave3.

I'd say you're 100% correct.

I haven't braked too terribly hard on mine. I thought it was odd that they went that quick, so I talked to my dealer and he kinda blew me off. I said I just got it and the brakes are gone. He said if you ride in the mud a lot, it eats your brakes.I beleive that, but I still thought it was kinda soon to be changin em, and asked if there was something wrong if it was under warranty. He said that brakes are not a warranty item. I would take it in, but they'd prolly charge out the butt just to take a look.

I have a '04 Eiger manual. I have 1200km(750miles) on the brakes and no problems yet. Riding mud, water and snow in the winter and no problems yet. Just had the front tires off recently and still had lots of material left. Rear brakes I haven't had to even adjust yet.

I have an 04 Eiger Manual as well....Went ridin this weekend and had to ride back with no front brakes....Pads were completely gone...I kinda felt a grinding when i hit them...so i took the wheel off and checked it...there was absolutely no pads left....i was about 20 miles out in the woods too....kinda sucked comin home tryin not to hit the front brakes....lucky for me the rotors arent hurt...

back brakes are squeaking when i hit them too...they might be getting low...im having it serviced next week...we'll see what they say about the back ones...i hope they will replace the front ones and include it in the price of the service and not charge me extra...

I have between 850 and 900 miles on it now...
