Default Air filter oil...

OK I just oiled my air filter. I am not sure if I used too much or what but I think that the bike is kind of starving for air now. Did I just use too much? Anyone? Thanks!

What you do is squeez out exces oil. Did you do that before installation?

Yeah I did squeeze most of it out. Maybe I will go back and see if there is more there still.

I prefer Maxima's FAB1 spray to their FFT. The spray penetrates better and is thinner when applied, so before the carrier evaporates I can work it around. This prevents over oiling. It would be tough to do like they say with FFT, and saturate the filter then squeze out the excess.

Try anything you can to get the excess out, like blotting it on some paper towels or something. I don't think there is any chance you could remove to much of that stuff, because it is so tenacious.

Yeah that is what I am afraid of. I used the FFT. It is freekin way sticky and I am sure that it is dried out by now. I am going to see what I can do though.

PS does anyone know the stock jet for the Z400???

I am thinking that I might go up like 1 jet and leave the airbox lid off. Any thoughts?
