Default 05 Eiger power

......Aska.....how did the carb switch affect fuel consumption ?
Was this a straight tradeout for the Vinson setup ?

No, my 05 Eiger has the same carb as yours. I believe it is the 32mm. I just jetted mine.

The Vinson carb is a direct swap, except for the idle adjustment screw, which you have to switch out because the Vinson one is slightly different, BUT the Eiger adjuster goes right in. Everything's the same, the throat is just 4mm bigger, which is something like an 18% increase. It's a little longer, so you have to do a little (very little, and it's under the seat) trimming of a crescent of red plastic so the intake plenum isn't squished flatter than it should be. I also did some snorkle trimming and some hole drilling inside the airbox. A 135 jet to go with the bigger carb and you're WAY ahead of a stock Eiger. I just rode at the dunes and I had no trouble keeping up with my friend on a 2005 Grizzly. Not that I'm just as fast, but there's only so fast you can go over the whoops, and my little Eiger had big enough ***** to keep right up and blast up the biggest hills... in 2wd! I only used 4wd on REALLY steep hills that I couldn't get enough speed up before.
I honestly can't imagine getting more power out of this engine without port and polish, or maybe a higher compression piston (overheat problems), or a degree key (detonation problems), or a cam (impossible to find).
