how loud is your engine ticking quad noob? Can you hear it as you walk up to it. Mine you can be about 3 feet away and you will still be able to hear it.

 

My buddy's Warrior is doing the same .. apparently it's the cam chain tensioner gone bad / out of adjustment

 

i have an 03 Z400 and it started ticking a few months ago after i put on a new white brothers exhaust. i just kept riding it, now it has gone away. it would only tick at idle just after i started it. after it got warm it stopped

 

yea mine never ticked until i put my white brothers exhaust on in agust 204..and ive road the he11 out of it since then and it still runs like a champ..just ticks at idle or slow speeds
