any one know who makes aftermarket suspension for the 250. i dont want the reservoir, just need new , better suspension. mine is starting to get soft, i tried adjusting the pre load but now if i go off too big of a jump my front end bounces up, and if i leave it at what its at i bottom out too easily
also are ther any extended a arms for it and if you get suspension with longer travel do you need longer a arms

There probably is aftermarket suspension for your bike, but you are just going to have to start looking around and seeing what is out there. You can start by calling your dealer and asking them if they know of any aftermarket shocks available or go to different online stores and look around and see if anyone makes aftermarket shocks for the z......You could also test and see if you can find any parts that are compatible with the z250 such as z/400ex shocks that might fit it. I'll check around alittle bit too though and see if there are any shocks from other quads that will work on your bike

Ya the shocks are longer but I dont know if the a-arms from the 400 would fit on the 250 which stock front a-arms are wider then yours and if those fit the 400 shocks would fit. Also when I was looking I saw shocks for 300ex's, and I dont know how much bigger those shocks are then yours. The only way to experiment without spending money on something that you dont know will work is if any of your buddies have z or 400ex's, or 300 ex's is to borrow their front end and see if it will fit lol. You will also need to make sure the tie rods fit. So pretty much you are going to have to make your own front end. But the good thing is that if you can get the 400 parts to fit on your 250, you can get cheap parts off of ebay for the z and ex, including a-arms and stock front shocks which are probably better than yours. I've seen a pair of stock front shocks go from 60-100 bucks, and the a-arms aren't much more, and tie rods are only like 12 bucks but you have to have the right tie rod ends to screw into because I don't know if they used the same threads as the 250

well thanks for that info i know that the 400 a arms wont fit on the 250 because where they mount is wider on the 400 than on the 250 i didnt think about the 300 tho. i dont know any body who has one but ill check the site and compare suspension travel. i know that the a arms on the 300s are a little wider than the 250 tho
