Default KQ Preload Settings

What preload settings are you guys running on your KQ700s?

I just picked mine up and the second detent from the factory feels really mushy.

Does the handling improve and the ride quality diminish as you crank up the preload?

I'm running both front and back on 4. At that setting it takes the dip out when you accelerate. You know what i mean the backwards dip when you hit it.

Default KQ Preload Settings

i go with 4 on the rear. im 6' 200 lbs and carry a large rack bag with prob to much crap in it. for the front i never found a good setting . even on high the springs were to mushy for me. quad seemed to nose dive and roll in the corners with a way slow recovery. also when plowing snow last winter the front would sag a good 3" when i would lift the plow. i bought the high lifter spings for the front and they work great. i run them on the lowest setting and the handling is nite and day over stock. for $80 and an hours work this is the best money ive ever spent. havnt checked recently but when i bought mine they were under brute force parts and said also fit kq. with the number of kq out there now it prob has own listing but they are the same springs. WARNING be smart, if you lack the mechanical ability or proper equipment have your dealer install them for you. if you took the shocks off and to dealer prob do it for near nothing. the new springs require a lot of pressure to reinstall the keepers and if were to slip could really hurt somebody.good luck and safe riding!
