Quadracer Mix ratio
#1
I was wonder what the mix ratio on a quadracer is because I'm going to pick one up today. Also what kind of oil should I use? I don't really care about the price just want to know the best stuff.
Thanks

Most oil manufacturers recommend 32:1 for castors and 40-50:1 for synthetics. Any quality 2 stroke motorcycle oil will be fine, just stay away from the outboard and weedeater oils. I like Maxima 927 and Klotz R50, but everybody has their own personal preference.

i use belray mc1 mixed at 50:1.
and you shouldn't use weedwacker or chainsaw oil. but there was some kids way back that got a hold of a honda pilot and ran any kind of oil you could think of in it. and it ran like a top. but don't do that.

Which ever brand you choose, mix it according to their directions. The oil is specifically formulated to be used at that ratio.
Re-jetting may be required if you use a diff oil/ratio than the previous owner, so it might be a good idea to ask what they were using...
Amsoil is one of the better brands also IMHO... there are several good ones out there today.

Amsoil at 50:1. I have been meaning to put up a pic of my piston after 5 hours. Really clean with very little carbon on top and no scratches. I have used all the others: Klotz, Golden Spectro, and Maxima to name a few. I use Amsoil after my last rebuild.
