Default ProCircuit T4 pipe on 2005 Ozark, question and comments

So I just installed a Pro Circuit T4 slip on pipe on my 2005 Ozark and just wanted to post up a couple of tid bits that I found while installing it.

1. The pipe does NOT come with everything you need to install it. It is missing a nut that goes on the back side of the middle hanger. The factory pipe has a nut welded to the back of the pipe, and the Pro Circuit pipe does not have that nut.

2. HOLY CRAP it's loud!! It says on the packaging that it's "Factory Sound". BS!! I'll be getting a quiet core insert for it to try to tame it down a bit. I don't have a problem with the sound level, but some people I ride with can't stand loud quads.

So, has anyone that has one of these on their quad have any tuning suggestions for me? I've already got a Twin Air filter and a Dyno Jet Stage 2 jet kit on the quad. With the factory pipe and the Twin Air filter on, I had to jet the carb one jet richer than recomended for my altitude and mods, otherwise it was running too lean(read my plug). So, I'm at 600' elevation and currently the instructions tell me to install a 132(if I remember right) jet. I had to use a 130 jet for what I currently have(it recomended a 128) so what should I start off with? One bigger and go smaller if I have to? I'll be reading my plug to make sure(I've got a couple of extras). Thanx!!

how much of a difference in power band, especially the throttle response and low end band? was it worth the money? compared to any sport bike, what quad has an identical sound output???

Yes, it was worth it, primarily in the top end power as long as you can put up with how much louder it is. With this pipe, the little 250 sounded compareable to 500 cc utility quads with pipes on them.

i used to have an ozark and i put a pro circuit t-4 on it. yes, it was quite abit louder that's for sure, loud enough to get my neighbors mad. i noticed more midrange on mine after the pipe was installed. however i did not have any jetting changes done to it and had the stock air filter with the lid on, i know not the best thing to do powerwise. i was going to run it a little bit and then go up on the main to see what i thought was right for it but i ended up taking the pipe off because of it's loudness and there it sits in my garage still.

From evertyhing I have seen, no. The pipes available for the Z250 will not bolt up to an Ozark. The pipes go in slightly differant directions, just enough so they aren't interchangeable.
