Just bought this-------Please help sometimes my vinson with 1120 miles will not shift into gear. It seams like the shifter is stuck. If I put it in park sometimes I have to sove a screw driver into the box through the boot and move a cable.

I dont know if it is related put then sometimes after it is out of park it will not go into gear without force. Other times it is fine.


Unrelated: How long until I should replace the belt??

 

The shifter linkage cable needs to be adjusted and will solve the shifting problem. Since you bought the machine used, it would be a smart thing to change the belt unless it looks ok. I think they recommend changing it at 2500 miles to 3000 miles but I'm not sure since I have the manual Vinson.
