went out for a ride last night , came out this morning and a stick had gotten stuck in my right rear and both cv boots are ripped.I have the hub off . but how do you get the boot over the cv joint or does the outer cv joint come apart or what.??

 

if its like a polaris take a big rubber hammer or peice of wood and bump on the outer joint and it will fall off the shaft. you wont have to take the knuckle off the axle on the inner joint just slide the new inner joint boot on from the outer side.

 

and also just cut the boots off if there alredy torn anyway. makes the job much easier

 

done got it back together same day it pulls out or rear I had to use two outer cv covers because that was all they had hope it works!!!
