Default Patch Tire?

My Ozark has a tire that goes flat due to a hole in one of the lugs. I found the hole, but I was wondering if it is normally recommended to patch a tire or is it normally recommended to be replaced? If shops normally patch them, what do they charge?
Thanks in advance.

Default Patch Tire?

I put plugs in mine, seems to work good. Put our local dealer says to bring it in,so they can fix it. They put a Plug + patch combo from the inside, it cost 14 dollars

I use "SLIME". It works great for thorns and small punctures. I have patched a tire on my lawn tractor and it barely holds. I think its due to the non radial tire.

Default Patch Tire?

A patch or plug can usually work of the hole is in the footprint area of the tire. Doesn't do as well for a hole in the sidewall. I've got slime in mine and have a small sidewall crack - it would ooze just a little slime after a ride. I put on an exterior patch, mostly to help hold the crack together. It's lasted about 600 miles so far, but it's only a matter of time.
