Default Which Carb Is better?

Hey I have an 86 LT250 and I was wondering what carb will work better on my quad KEHIN 36mm carburator. This came off a 87 LT250 will it fit my 86 i have a motion pro twist throttle if that makes a difference. or a 38mm lectron power jet gas carb. the guy said it is an older carb but still runs good. If it makes a difference i am planning on getting the flywheel lightened and the head milled here soon.

I'd go with the lectron. If I remember right the lt250r loves a bigger carb.

I think I would stay with the 36 mm Kehien for an 86 as it doesn't have a powervalve so it won't have any lowend power with a 38 mm carb. This is strictly an educated guess as I don't have an 86. What kind of Kehien is it? PJ, PWK, PE. Either way you'll have to spend some time making sure the carb is jetted to match the engine.

go with the 36. i put a 36 on my 86' Lt250r, and it boged down a little more in the low end, but it hits so much harder and revvs alot higher and faster... The main difference between the 86 and 87+ engines is the 87+ make more lowend, thats all the powervalve does is add lowend..
