Okay, I get oil all over the place running wide open, can anyone tell me where the heck all the hoses on top of the engine go?? I have the main large line going to a plastic box on the clutch side of the bike, and from that box another large hose goes to the oil tank top in the front right? Can I just run the engine hose to the oil tank? Is that box for vacuum or what? Where does the little hose on the valve cover go? I thought it went in the L-tube at the intake of the carb, but after I saw it shooting oil, I'm pretty sure thats wrong. HELP!!!!

 

on your valve cover you have 2 lines. one larger than the other. the small one goes to the top of the oil tank
the large one goes to the plastic box and from there it goes to the intake hose before the carb
so you have 2 hoses coming out of the plastic box(pcv system) 1 to the valve cover and 1 to the intake hose

 

Thats weird, because I have the larger hose going to the box, then going to the oil tank. hmm...cool, thanks

When I get confused about where hoses go and where to route wires, I go to the dealership and look at a new bike, that nobody has tampered with.

 

I really need to get a maintenance manual. I keep my bikes at a relatives, so I'll try it out this weekend. Thanks for the help guys.
