Default Just another reason to wear safety gear.

I was out ridin my kx125 today, I decided to do a doughtnut and i lost it on the second time round and slid into a ditch. Well only for my helmet I'd have lost a few teeth and my body protector saved a few bruses. I don't have all the gear but I wish I had mx boots or my legs wouldn't be banged up. And my left wrist and left index fingure are fairly bruised. I know it wasn't a quad but it was a lesson I learned so wear you'r gear its worth it.

Well then there's Murphy's law. When you go out without your safety gear, that'll be the time you wipe bad.

I 'floated' my KQ in a creek on the Hatfield McCoy trails last week, and ran into a 3" diameter branch that extended partially across the creek, which deflected off my top headlight and smacked me right in the chest. I was wearing a 661 body suit and was unhurt, my buddies said they heard the 'smack' over their engines.

I almost wiped a few rides ago. I didn't though 'cause I was wearing my helmet. You know if I wasn't I would have been over those bars. The rest of the group was way ahead then the couple on the utility in front of me pulled over and waved me on 'cause they didn't want to hold me up. I didn't know the trail but they did. There was this section of giant whoops coming up and it was all tall grass so you couldn't see it that well, especially (on my quadracer) 3rd gear pinned into 4th just as you hit the first one. After I hit the first one and went airborne I saw the minefield. I leaned back as far as I could and held on tight. I cased it and pogo'd over. I bent my hanndlebars down. Well actually they rotated forward and down. Man was my heart racing. I think I'll start a thread about near misses in the sport quad forum.
