i have a 91 suz. lt4wd quadrunner. it starts fine and u can run it for about 20 minutes and then if u slow down it will die and is very hard to start, if it will even start. if u let it sit for a while it will take right off. if u change the plug it will take right off.(did this 3 times in one day) usually if u are going fast it is ok. i think it has to be the ignition or carb. but the carb was just tuned this summer.(by a jackass shop) also this thing was not ran very often until recently. any help would be appreciated.

 

well I'd check the carb again, gas lines, and if your running old gas also is the little thingy on the side for the gas turned to on?

 

yea the gas is turned on. does anyone think its the cdi or any other ignition parts?

 

Ok next time it stalls out pull the plug and make sure you are getting fire. If it is then you know its fuel related.

 

ok i hope this goes back to the top. it seems to work fine during the day. but at night when the lights are on is when this happens. could it not have enough juice to supply the lights and park plug? if anyone thinks thats it how do i fix it.

 

new battery?

 

no, it wouldnt be the battery check the flywheel and, rejet the carburator but you also may have some loose wires or a short so before you take the flywheel off and all of that check your wires. You may also have a rejet problem.

 

it still has the factory jetting so surely that wont be it. i think ill take it to a better shop

 

Check your safety equipment. My Z400 had that issue and it turned out the safety for the clutch when starting was loose and only made connections part of the time. I don't know much about that bike, but stuff similar to that may be a factor

 

It could be the battery is dieing. Pull it out and bring it to an auto parts store. They can do a free load test, and then youll know if the battery is good or not.
How does the idle speed sound? I think its supposed to be about 1400 rpm, but with out a tach, its just a guess. Make sure it isnt too low.
It could be a misadjusted mixture screw, or low float level causing the stalling too.
Did they check the valve clearance? The intakes may have tightened up.
