EIGERS ARE STILL FAIRLY NEW. I HOPE BY NOW ALL THE QUIRKS WOULD BE WORKED OUT. I HOPE IT IS JUST YOUR "GOOD" LUCK AND YOU DON'T HAVE ANYMORE PROBLEMS. I ALSO HAVE AN EIGER, BUT MINE ONLY HAS 135 MILES ON IT. GOOD LUCK WITH THE REPAIRS. LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE PROBLEMS SO I KNOW WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR.

I've found mine to be almost indestructable. As a member of the South East Indiana Quad Abusers, I get a lot of Chances (3600mi.) to beat the hell out of er. 2400 hard miles at Windrock (still hacen't covered all of it.)

Well talked to the dealer today and they finnally got my parts and started fixing it and then found a chuck blown out of the crankcase witch is anouther 900.00 bucks that i dont have. seems when the magnets let lose a chunk of it got between a gear and the housing and busted that too. Anybody got any idea how to go about getting ahold of suzuki so i can raise some hell? This didnt happen from being hard on it or anything, the magnets just came unglued. Really pisses me off cuz ive always talked up on the eiger and all zuki atvs and ive helped sell quite a few of them. Hell my neighbor just got an 06 eiger last week.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img] Lookin at $2,500.00 ta fix it now. Any help or ideas would be really appreciated!!!!

 

I wish I could help ya. One of our members, eiger1, had the same thing happen to his 02. but it was covered under the extended warranty he purchased for $500. (seems like a bargain, now).

The dealer should be able to hook you up with a zuki rep. Thats a bunch of B/S. Those things should never come off if they're right.

Thats why I'm eiger2 everywhere I go. Thats my club name too. I'm on several different boards as eiger2 also.

Suzuki usually builds good motors, its their frames that are crappy.

 

Kinda silly to pay a couple grand to fix a quad with 4k miles on it when you can get a whole used engine assy off of ebay occasionally for less than $500.

Have you checked any used atv places for Eiger engines?

 

I haven't seen any motors, yet. But I have seen a lot of parts and talked to a few sellers who had more parts than they list.

This looksa like a better option. Then you will have a lot of extra spare parts too.
