Suzuki LTZ250
#1
Just wanted some hoest feedback on how much I should ask for my 2005 Suzuki LTZ250 QuadSport with the extended full 4 year warranty, wheel spacers and nerf bars. Bought in Feb-March this year and now a want the LTZ400 ASAP! I don't think putting the exhaust, twin air filters, rejetting etc. will help for what I really want... more power!!!! :-)
Thanks everyone!

If you can take it to Pismo over a major weekend, ie. Thanksgiving. You might be able to get a couple hundred dollars more for it. However, if you don't have the pink slip, it could be kinda hard, unless you find someone that really trusts you. You are a few hundred dollars less then a used '03/04 Z400. I paid $3500 and $3600 respectively for my two.
Now, I don't know if you know this, but keep your receipts for the work you have done to it. My friend bought two used Z400's and Suzuki wouldn't let him keep the extended warranty. He didn't have paperwork proving that service/oil changes were done. Needless to say, buying them because of the warranty proved useless for him. He even fought this up Suzuki's management.

I definetly have the pink slip and warranty paperwork, it'll cost $25 to transfer the warranty. I'll be happy to get $3,000 for it really! It is in great shape, well under 50 hours on it.
If I didn'd need the money from the sell of it, I'd keep the 250 since its great to let other family members ride too. We'll see.
Do you know if the nerf bars from the '05 LTZ250 will go ahead and fit on the '06 LTZ400???
Thanks again!

I don't know about the nerf bars fitting. You could take measurements and compare them to a new Z400.
On the warrant, they had the paperwork and sent in the $25 transfer fee. Suzuki told him, that because he didn't have receipts to show it had regular oil changes and scheduled service work (the stickler was the service work after the initial 30 days) that they would not allow him to transfer the warranty to his name. Previous owner had no receipts showing this work was done. In the end, Suzuki walked away with the money the original owner paid for the warranty.

ouch! Ok, that does suck, the corporate guys always find a way to stick to us consumers! I doubt I have my receipts either for my oil and stuff, but like clock work my husband did everything! So... I will keep my warranty and use it towards the new 400, oh I am sure there will be money prorated and I'll have to pay even more and stuff. Know what, buying atv's is one big scam for consumers by the manufacturers and the salemen!! yep, that is what I now think! :0) oh well, pay to play!

Couldn't agree more We definately pay to play It is a great family sport
Good thing about the Z400 is they are a decently built bike So, warranty work should be kept to a minimum
