THANKS guys. I'm in the garage as we speak...friends huddled aroubd...beers...hahahhaha...

Question---the 'Pilot Screw"---do i need to adjust it??? Looks to be external on the bottom of the carb

Let me rephrase---is the piolt screw the same thing as the fuel screw?

Yes, carbs have two screws. One fuel (which changes the fuel/air ratio) and an idle screw.

The fuel screw adjusts the pilot.

What i was asking is should i adjust the pilot screw?

Are the a/f screws external? They appear to be on either side of the carb.

Again, thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.

Orangeguy---sorry to get off topic but i know that a lot of people are viewing this thread and i needed some advice.

Well guys, i installed a 170 main which is what came with my pipe, adjusted the piolt screw out 3/4 turn (still tying to clairfy if the pilot IS the a/f screw---sorry, i haven't been clear), and installed an EHS lid. She's running great! The only thing is it stumbles slightly at the very top of 1st gear. I'm still scratching my head on that one. Other than that it's perfect.

Oh don't do that to me now wifesquad! hahahhahahha....I started another thread with these same questions and got no replies so I was jsut trying to be resourceful and ask where I knew they could be answered.
