troy city already has these listed at $6699 vs the $7299 msrp. According to their site they expect them Jan/Feb. I went riding with the general manager and sales manager of a local dealership last weekend and they told me they would've beat troy city's prices and they expect the lt-r450r in lat Oct to Nov
Damn, too bad I bought my z. Oh well, I'd like to wait until it's on the third model year production anyway.

Man...I just dumped over 3 grand in the motor and trans...I'll probably wait until the 2nd year model....I have also been eyeballing the new Raptor 700R....It always happens...You buy something hot...and a year later they come out with even cooler ****.

It's about time new sport quads come out "with even cooler ****" yearly. We went fromthe last Quadracer update [1990 ??] to 1999 for ANY new or updated sport quad. Sorry 300ex does not count.

I'll be happy next year when new Kawasaki, KTM, Arctic Cat and Bombardier sports hit the market. Hopefully Honda will finally see the light and bring out the big bore that we've been asking for. Suzuki may do the same. 2007 will be the biggest quad year in history, even with loosing the Banshee.

I can see owning the R450. Hopefully it does not have the teething problems often associated with 1st year models. I'll just listen to the Guinea Pigs on the internet.

I was just about to post Troy City G. prices and dang i got beat to it. thats were i bought my vinson when i was living up at west point, i saved $1100 over waiting till i got back to texas to buy. they sell alot of bikes and i guess have good repair work to be able to sell so cheap. I have found out since moving back down to texas , that louisiana has great pricing too, so now im going there for all my parts, and future purchases, they run about the same, and some times a little less than troy city garage at one dealer that i freqeunt.

Well I know they sell 180 units a month, I thought that was the reason. After talking to the general manager from a local dealership, he told me they could have beat that price. My guess is that troy city just isn't as greedy as the rest of the dealerships.
That general manager was pissed because I told him I had called his dealership and the salesman I spoke with said "Why don't you come down and we'll see what we can do?"
It's his philosophy that his salesmen should be giving the best possible price and try to move volume. But the salesmen get paid their commision based on the gross price of the vehicle and accessories. So that makes it hard to get them to understand that great prices equal great volume and great word of mouth advertising, which is the best possible advertising. I've been talking about troy city on this forum since before I actually bought my quad and look at how many people are interested in them. Even torbinx from Alberta, Canada is talking about making the trip.
If these dealerships would just understand the sales they could have, they would demand that their salesmen give the best prices.
