Default Castrol

Hey I know there are quite a few post about oil but I couldnt find one to answer my question specifically. I am about to change my oil for the first time in my z400. I got some castrol 10w40 fully synthetic oil from work. Is this going to be okay to run in my bike, and is this good oil to use?

look in your manual and use what it tells you to use. ive heard some synthetics can cause clutch problems in atv engines. normal castrol gtx should be fine but maybe you need 10w-30? again, check your manual for reccomended oil.

ive used castrol gtx non synthetic in everything for years with no probs. just switched to castrol semi synthetic in the truck to see how it does... but hey, with any oil, the trick is to change it reguarly.

but in the hondas, i use the honda oils ( i know someone else makes it for them and there may be some 'better' oil out there but i like them and use them without issue.)
