castrol syntec 20w-50

I know that many of you are putting Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 in your front diff. I have been to 5 stores and cannot find it anywhere. I finally gave up and bought the Castrol 20w-50 (fully synthetic). Any good reason to not put this in my front diff?

I looked eveywhere for the Mobil and finally found it at Auto Zone, if you have one in your area might not hurt to look. They have all three for cycles including the 2 stoke oil. I hope this helps.

Last time I was in Utah, I saw autozones all over the place.
I use 20w50 synth in my 650 front diff (10w40 synth in the engine). It is actually a little thinner than the stock non synthetic oil was at temps the differential runs at. You could go a notch thicker, IMO.
I tried 20w50 dino oil (non synth) in my front diff, and it made the diff really stiff (especially in the cold), but that makes steering much harder. Synth viscosity doesn't change so much with temperature, so it is a heck of a lot better to use synthetic in the front diff. That way the diff doesn't loosen up as much in the heat, doesn't stiffen up as bad in the cold.

We do have some autozones here, but I went to Pep Boys, Checker Auto, Allcot Auto Parts, Wal-mart, and then I gave up. I guess I should have gone a few more miles to Autozone, but I decided to gamble and get the Castrol Syntec 20w-50 from Wal-mart. I am sure it is comparable to the Mobil.

i run castrol syntec 10w30 in my truck, would it hurt to run this in my 650.the shop gave me kawi 20w50 engine oil.i think that is way too thick expecially for this time of year.i try to run synthetic in every thing that can for the extra protection.i run klotz 10w40 100% synthetic in my DS650.but i dont ride it as often as i do the p650 so i only change the oil once a year as the directions on the bottle recomend.it says, every 4000 miles or once a year and at $8.75 a quart i change nomore than i have to.but then again if the oil is that good maybe i should use it in the p650.i mean i try to use the best i can for the protection.so,what do you guys think? klotz syntec or castrol syntec?$4.00 a quart or $8.75 a quart,i think the castrol would work great plus its cheaper and easier to find.any sugestions???
