3 Eiger questions...

I have 3 questions about my Eiger...
04 4x4 Manual Shift.
1. Does this model have a belt? I keep hearing ppl talk about a belt and i thought it had a driveshaft.
2. I had to replace the front bearings today, it only has 1200 miles on it. They were caked with mud, dirt, water, and grime. Anyone else had bearing problems?
3. Just bought a Cycle Country 54" Plow, Push Tubes and Mounting hardware off a friend of mine who has an 05 Eiger. Cycle country web site says the mounting hardware is differnet for the 04 and 05. They have the same frame, so this should work, correct?
Thanks..

No they do not have a belt. That is the auto version. I have never had any bearing problems. I faithfully clean mine after every ride. I will make sure to get the water in around the disc brakes in the front to get all the mud and grime out of there. Your 3rd question I am not sure. I would think it would fit being the same frame and all unless they moved mounting holes for the body??. I currently have around1200 miles on mine as well and have not had any problems with it . I know mine used the existing skid plate mount holes behind the front tires for my plow.( 54 inch warn plow)

No...
The 05 and 06 have a full plate that bolts on to the frame with u-bolts.
I found out that it would work.
I had to modify the skid plate so the u-bolts will fit.
but it did work....my driveway is gonna be clear this winter...
thanks guys

I've got 3600 miles and am on my 3rd set of front bearings. I seem to get about 1100 miles out of em. The one set may have been damaged at installation.
Its easy to tell when they are getting bad. The front brakes dont work as well. You may even find that you have to pump em to get working. You can jack up the front and wobble the wheel and see how it feels also.
Once they start going you better attend to them.
