LT250s and LT230
#1
I found a good deal on a 1990 lt250s..$100 and here is why. The quad is in great shape and ran great but the guy decided he was going to rebuild the engine. He ordered a new cylinder, head, and piston. A couple of months after he bought it all he realized the new parts were for the 230 model. My question is will the new parts bolt up? will I need to get a 230 rod? i am not sure how the parts interchange. Any help will be appreciated.. thanks

Here's why he only wants a 100 bucks, because the 1990 LT250S head is no longer available new from suzuki. Plus the LT250s is a pretty rare find, so a used head will be difficult to locate. Now, will the 230 head physically bolt on I don't know, they are of similar design.
You won't be able to use the 230 piston for sure. If you want to double check what I've just said, do a search on google for "oem parts finder" and figure it out.

It is located in texas. He said it was running fine(i even asked if it was smoking and he said no) and he took it to a small shop to have "a professional" install the new piston, cylinder and head. Well the guy didnt call him for a couple weeks so he went to the shop sever times and he was never there. He finally caught up with the guy and he had sold the cylinder and head to someone. I am guessing he needed some drug money. That is when he ordered the new parts. Whoever he ordered them from said he was getting a 250s piston, cylinder and head. He then later found out it was actually for the 230. The piston will fit the new cylinder and head. I am concerned with the cylinder bolt up and the stock 250 connecting rod, because they should have a different stroke. I guess i could just part it all out,but the deal is that he sell it so cheap and i use it and not profit off it.
