Most of the R & D a company spends goes in to it's signature products. This technology then trickles into the rest of the manufacturing line after the unforeseen defects are worked out. It is a very well established fact that first year runs are plagued with more quality issues from every manufacture regardless of the industry.
The latest and greatest technology the quad manufactures are producing is being introduced into the larger machines where there is more of a profit margin. R & D cost can thus be recaptured with a lower profit to loss ratio risk. It then follows logic that these are going to be plagued with more recalls and TSB. In a couple of years this technology is perfected or scrapped. If perfected it then is introduced into the rest of the line up that has smaller margins to cover liability issues. Look at IRS and EFI as it moves from where it started to what is available today
In a nutshell, cheaper quads run with more reliable and proven technology then the high end signature lines. If your dropping 7-9K people want all the bells and whistles. Just don't buy a first production year. If you do, don't whine when it does not work quite as well as advertised.

I would argue it's just easier to break chit when you have more power. More stress on everything.

Great let em blackball me...what have I done wrong? I only stated that I was looking at the new Bomb and couldnt find ANYONE who hunts with them. i did find a lot of their machines that run in the sand So? Can't I say that I am now not interested? Whats with you guys? Cannot someone say what they want (within reason) and or change their minds. I haven't used or ever would use profanity or been deragatory. So...whats the problem?

Even tho I think you are some other member on here just trying to get people riled up, I'll answer your question.
The problem with it, is what is the point in starting threads that consistantly say that you do not like a certain machine or brand of machine's? Why not try and do something productive like help fellow members, or at least if you are going to try and work people up, change it up a little.

Motox 26...Good advice. I will give it a try. With that being said... I am at looking at purchasing a strictly utility machine. I really, really wish that Suzuki made one. But, they don't. i looked at the new bomb 800. Although it is a beast of a machine it is a ute/sport. That only leaves Polaris...which I NEVER have liked. But... I am looking. I will NEVER give up these Suzukis...best thing out there! IMO

[i]Originally posted by: CurlsYou can over engineer your quad to weigh 1500lbs and never break a thing. Of course it will handle like a tank but it will be reliable...... consumers use quads for purposes they weren't designed for......... management cuts corners for profit, etc...
