KQ700 air filter woes
After 10 hours of break-in then hitting the trails to discover the thrill and potential of the KQ700 I'm due for the 100 mile service of changing the oil & filter. We rode approx 68 miles of trails, some were very dusty others muddy, so I pulled the air filter to inspect and blow out, I was alarmed to see that the filter didn't do too well of a job, noticing that the throat of the throttle plate had a light dusting on it.
Now this thing is brand new, factory, nothing has been touched other than the fluid levels and tire pressure checked before we rode. I also noticed the air filter upper plasitc piece the one that the wing-bolt goes through doesn't fit or seal good to the air filter housing upper lip to the air filter seal lip but still the filter should have filtered the incoming air to the throttle plate assy.
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm greatly impressed with the 4wheeler but this is pitiful.
I called the Suzuki dealer I purchased it from, all they said was they will report it to Suzuki incase there is a problem during the warranty, WOW! in 5 months my warranty runs out...
Any suggestions?
