as far as i know they need to be crated . and oil and gas free . that way a forklift can move it around . best bet is to make a plat form for the bottom that holds the tires and can be strapped to that and sides to protect it and take it to a frieght company . like roadway or yellow frieght . other then that i am not sure .,

If you look around on the internet, I believe there are at least a few, if not several crateless shipping outfitters, though I could be mistaken.

Try JC Motors or Federal Transport and I believe Griffin Allied ships w/o crates..these are all recommended in an AMA publication but I have never personally used them.

I shipped my Quadracer to Washington state 2 years ago. I got a crate from a local Arctic Cat dealer. They are one of the last atv companies to use a crate that is required to be returned. I used some cheap tie downs to secure it to the crate and drained the fuel and oil.
I used USF Redstar to ship. They would insure the machine and were the most reasonable. It was $600 to ship to Washington state. It would probably be more with the price of fuel today. I would rather have the machine in a crate anyway. If you have ever seen how warehouse personnel treat cargo, you might think the same thing.

Try http://www.idtransport.com ID Transport ships ATV's and Motorcycles only. You don't have to crate or drain the fluids from your ATV. They also deliver door to door. I have used them twice and have been quite pleased.

I imagine you could find a company that has some specialization in hauling quads that may have a specially designed trailer. I know A1AutoTransport, Inc does this and I think that uship does too. Why wouldn't you want to crate it though? Seems like it's the most popular way to ship a bike or quad.

Must be diffent laws . My friend bought a John Deer tractor and it just came in the back of a Transport truck , not even a large chain company just a independent. When it arrived from a 1200 mile trip we just started it up and drove it out.

As far as I know gas and oil is not Hazardous or how could you trailer your toys like snowmobiles, PWC and ATVs down the Highway on a open trailer passed every cop on the way.

U-ship could be any transport vehicle. A guy bought a dune buggy from me and the guy he found through U-ship had a 1 ton dually and we just loaded it in the bed. He was also pulling a boat for another customer.
