My 98 king quad won't start with the button any more, it doesnt turn over and i know the battery is good my first thought was the switch but this appears to be in working order. The only other thing i can think of is a bad connection, anyone heard of a similar issue?

 

You may have a bad solonoid switch, try that.

 

Does you quad have to be in neutral to start? If so make sure the neutral is acknowledged.
Do you have any lights come on? If not check your main fuse.

 

Yeah it does need to be in neutral and it is, it will start with the recoil. solonoid switch being the one right on the handlebars?

 

ok the solonoid switch is on the starter, can you tell me where the starter is?
